XANTREX MARKETS Xantrex operates in the higher growth segments of the advanced power electronics market, with well-established products and platforms sold to a diverse customer base in Distributed, Mobile, and Programmable power markets. Distributed Power We design, manufacture and market advanced power electronics that convert power from renewable, advanced power and storage solutions - such as solar, wind, fuel cells, microturbines, batteries, and flywheels - into electrical power that can be used as a primary or backup power source for homes and small businesses to industrial and utility applications. Our distributed power products focus on utility grid-connected or grid-independent power systems that are one megawatt or less in size. Our renewable energy systems offer environmental benefits of using green power and also enable the sale of any excess power generated back to the utility grid. Xantrex products allow customers to increase energy efficiency and freedom, while making a positive impact on the environment. Mobile Power We design, manufacture and market a wide range of AC and DC products and system solutions that are installed or built into boats, recreational vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, utility and emergency vehicles and automobiles. Our inverters and inverter/chargers produce high quality electricity to run home, office, electrical appliances and other electronic devices while away from utility power, and our instrumentation solutions manage and monitor power consumption and usage. Xantrex battery chargers convert AC power to DC power and accurately charge batteries so they will operate at peak performance. We also produce portable power systems that are either combined with a built-in battery source in a compact unit, or are designed to work with an external power source such as a car battery or another DC power source. Our products provide electricity that can be used anywhere - at home, at a worksite or campsite, on a boat or in a vehicle. Programmable Power We develop, manufacture and market programmable power supplies and systems for industrial customers to design and develop electronic equipment in a research and development laboratory, and to test products during the manufacturing process. Our programmable power products are also built into and provide power to sensitive equipment such as semi-conductor manufacturing, laser, oil services and medical equipment. Programmable Power 1.HPD Series - 300 W HPD provides 300 watts in a quarter-rack wide chassis. It is ideal for OEM applications where wide adjustment of output voltage or current is required in a compact package, providing up to 300 watts of clean power. Description 300 Watts with Linear Performance HPD provides 300 watts in a quarter-rack wide chassis. It is ideal for OEM applications where wide adjustment of output voltage or current is required in a compact package, providing up to 300 watts of clean power. HPD is available in three models and is the smallest 300-watt programmable power supply available. HPD uses switch-mode technology combined with linear post regulation to provide performance comparable to an all-linear design. Excellent line and load regulation is matched by low noise and good transient response. HPD is available in singles and duals in a single package for benchtop use. It can be combined in mix and match rack combinations with the quarter-rack 60 watt XT or 500 watt XPD. For systems applications, multiple units can be rack mounted in one to four unit configurations for up to four independent 300-watt outputs. Features

2. XDC Series - 6 kW and 12 kW Description Digitally Controlled DC Power Supplies XDC provides clean, reliable power for benchtop, ATE systems, burn-in, production test and OEM applications. It has a unique embedded controller that provides menu-driven auto sequencing capability. Complex test sequences can be entered and saved via the front panel without external computers or software. With XDC, up to ten different test programs, each capable of 99 voltage level steps, can be constructed and executed by a manual or external trigger. Ten configurations of differing protection and output set points can also be conveniently stored, recalled or set for default at start up. The XDC 6 kW comes in a compact 5.25-inch high rack package (3U) and is available in ten models. The XDC 12 kW comes in a 10.5-inch high rack package (6U) and is also available in ten models. 4.XFR Series - 1.2 kW and 2.8 kW XFR is the smart choice for research, product development and production test applications such as R&D, magnet control, product design, ATE, process control, electroplating and burn-in. Description Zero Voltage "Soft" Switching XFR is the smart choice for research, product development and production test applications such as R&D, magnet control, product design, ATE, process control, electroplating and burn-in. The unique features of XFR make it the best choice for OEM applications where high power and a wide adjustment of output voltage or current are required in a full 19-inch rack package. Choose from twenty 2800-watt and 1200-watt models. Zero voltage, or "soft" switching, provides significant benefits. Switching transients are virtually eliminated and noise performance is closer to linear levels. Efficiency is increased, heat generation is decreased, and stress on the switching transistors is reduced - improving reliability (MTBF). Unlike most competitive products, XFR generates full power at full rated current over its total operating range of 0 to 50° C without derating. XFR is also designed with excellent thermal management, so units can be stacked in rack mounts without leaving ventilation space between each unit. The low thermal generation and high efficiency of "soft" switching technology allows for the packaging of 1200 watts in a 1.75-inch (1 U) high, 19-inch rack mount chassis, providing 20% more power than any competitive product in the same size package.
